Steel deck concrete pouring requirements

1. Before pouring concrete, the sundries on the steel deck (including the magnetic sleeves on the shear nails), dust, grease and other substances that hinder the bonding of concrete must be removed.

2. Before the concrete is poured, in the areas where people and trolleys move frequently on the steel deck, backing plates should be laid to prevent the steel deck from being damaged or deformed, thereby reducing the bearing capacity of the steel deck.

3. When the steel deck bears concrete, the live load is considered to be 150kg/m2. When pouring concrete, care should be taken to avoid excessive concrete accumulation and the impact caused by pouring the concrete. When it is deformed and poured into concrete, it should be dumped at the steel beam as much as possible, and quickly spread out to all sides.

4. After the concrete has been placed, unless the bottom of the steel deck is adequately supported, no other load shall be added to the floor until the concrete reaches 75% of the design ultimate compressive strength.

5. During construction, when the span of the steel beam is greater than the maximum unsupported span of the steel deck, a temporary support shall be provided at the mid-span position, and the temporary support can be removed only after the concrete reaches 75% of the design ultimate compressive strength. , should be carried by pads to avoid concentrated loads, and should be placed above the main load-bearing structural members.
