Steel deck concrete pouring requirements

1. Before pouring concrete, the sundries on the steel deck (including the magnetic sleeves on the shear nails), dust, grease and other substances that hinder the bonding of concrete must be removed.

2. Before concrete pouring, in areas where people and trolleys move frequently on the steel deck, backing plates should be laid to avoid damage or deformation of the steel deck, thereby reducing the bearing capacity of the steel deck.

3. When the steel deck bears concrete, the live load is considered to be 150kg/m2. When pouring concrete, care should be taken to avoid excessive accumulation of concrete and the impact caused by pouring the concrete. When the concrete is poured into concrete, it should be dumped at the steel beam as much as possible, and spread out to the surrounding quickly.

4. After the concrete is poured, unless the bottom of the steel deck is adequately supported, no other load shall be added to the floor before the concrete reaches 75% of the design ultimate compressive strength.
