Selection principle of Pour Stops thickness

1.Under the action of wet concrete load, the deflection of the pour stop in the lateral and vertical directions is not more than 6mm.

2.The yield strength of the steel plate is above 40ksi(235MPa); under the static load of wet concrete, the design stress of the pour stop is not more than 0.6 times the yield strength; under the combined action of the short-term construction load of 1Kn/㎡, the design stress of the baffle plate is allowed to increase by three points one.

3.　The above selection table does not consider the influence on the displacement of the pour stop caused by the working conditions (deflection or torsion) of the construction supporting the pour stop (for example, steel beams, steel deck).

4. When the thickness of the pour stop is less than (or equal to) 1.5mm, it is recommended to fold a chamfer at the top of the vertical plate.
