How much does a steel deck weigh

The weight of the steel deck is based on different thicknesses, different plate types, and different weights.For example, SD66-720, the weight of 0.75mm thickness is 2.0PSF, SD38-914, the weight of 0.91mm is 2.7PSF.

But for the steel structure, its weight is still relatively light. The most important consideration when determining the steel bundle weight for form decks, composite steel decks, and roof decks is that the steel bundle amount will be supported by a bar joist (which includes almost all roofs) and should not weigh more than 2000kg.  

This weight can ensure the smooth progress of hoisting. For transportation, you can refer to the allowable load of the vehicle.
