That was in 2009, the sales people got a project information from the design institute, the USA pavilion project at the world expo, the designers were interested in our products, the customers wanted to cooperate with us.

       At that time, our steel contract plate orders are not many, are small projects. As our company is just starting up, the customer's trust in us is not high. Fortunately, the nanjing office still got more orders, but the Shanghai office also had to fight for orders.

I made an appointment with the designer and got right to the point. The designer didn't know much about steel deck. In particular, I explained to him the differences between open slot profiles, reentrant slot profiles, and flat profiles, and their applications in various projects. Basically, the designers were impressed within half an hour, and then we recommended the technical scheme according to the project situation to help the designer choose the steel deck model. We have chosen the flat profile model sd66-720, and the designer agreed.

       This is the solution. We helped the designer with all the calculations and kept good communication with the designer, and suddenly one day, the sales came back and said, the USA pavilion is not going to be built because it looks like the us government doesn't have a budget. When I heard that, I thought it was something we couldn't predict, and I comforted the sales. The salesman was a little disappointed and felt that the project still had some hope, so he could get a commission. Something always changes, and about two weeks later, Sales told me again, and now the USA pavilion says it's starting again. I asked the salesman to keep in touch with the designer to track the project. Later, the salesman came back and said that the construction company was Shanghai baoye. I told the salesman that we had cooperated with Shanghai baoye and had a good relationship. In this case, we still have great hope that the salesman thinks he has signed the order. Some things are like this, no ups and downs is not called a story, no ups and downs are not called a story, when the design drawing is completed, the design institute said, the ussi does not agree with the useflat profile, the client wants to use the open slot profile commonly used in the ussi. Designers don't want to redesign, because the thickness of the floor grooving section and smooth curve is different, that is to say, the height of the floor is different, the most important thing is that the height of the USA pavilion is very different, with a lot of different floors, for designers, building and structure are all trouble, I tell salesman, this is not our decision, and designers know the difficulty of the change.

      A week later, the design institute told us a good news. Due to the tight schedule of the project, it took too long to modify the design drawing, so we still used the original drawing for the design. Now it seems that they chose our product. We successfully negotiated the price and payment with the construction company and signed the contract. Later, the project was on a tight schedule.

We have completed the supply  steel deck bearing plate according to the owner's requirement.
